Current information about the 16th German-Rainbow-Open in Hösel, 30 September – 2 October 2021:

Corona rules on the spot

The 16th GRO are subject to the “3 options rule” as an event: participants have to be either vaccinated, or convalesced or tested prior to the event.

At the accreditation on Thursday (5.30 pm – 7.30 pm in the reception hall of GC Hösel) the vaccinated / convalescent / tested status of all participants must be recorded through the accreditation team.

Summary of the requirements that you must fulfill:

In order to participate in the event or the individual days of the event, you will need:

•  A vaccination or convalescent certificate (no tests needed then)

•  for the 30 September and the 1 October a negative rapid test from an official authority

•  for Saturday, 02.10. a negative rapid test result from an official authority, which must be at 7.00 pm not older than 6 hours.

We must emphasize here that if you do not present one of the above mentioned proofs, we will NOT be able to admit you to the event.

If you can present a vaccination certificate proving you are double vaccinated, you do not need any tests to participate in the event.

If you cannot prove full vaccination protection / convalescent status, you must:

present for the 30 September and the 1 October a negative rapid test from an official authority

present a negative PCR result on Saturday, Oct. 2 before the evening event at 7 p.m., which will be valid for another 10 hours.

Details about the hygiene measures during our EVENTS:

Through the management of the restaurant GUSTUS in the GC Hösel, in which all our evening events take place, we were given the following details to pass on to our participants:

“On Thursday (30 September) guests have to prove their status at the door of Restaurant GUSTUS, if you come to dine at Restaurant GUSTUS (at GC Hösel) and are placed in the public area ( prior to the event).

In all public areas (hallway, foyer, sanitary area) masks are always mandatory.

Inside the rooms/premises, masks are no longer compulsory for closed events.

If the guests are accredited by you and the 3 option status is documented in the contact tracking list, they can also move around in the rooms provided for you as a closed event without a mask.

As there is no event with dance and party on Thursday yet, an official quick test for the guests who are not yet vaccinated or convalescent is sufficient here.

On Friday and Saturday, guests are allowed to move around the restaurant premises without a mask, as this is then a closed party and no external guests are present.

Here is also the basis that the 3 option status is recorded.

For non-vaccinated and non-recovered participants, we require a negative rapid test from an official source on Thursday, 30 September and Friday, 1 October; for Saturday, 2 October, a negative rapid test from an official source at 7 pm not older than 6 hours.”

Corona tests of all types (antigen/antibody/PCR) can be booked and obtained here:
EcoCare – Düsseldorf Airport: EcoCare COVID-19 Test Center at Düsseldorf Airport.

The clubhouse – restaurant GUSTUS:

Payment system & reservation

On all our event days 30 September – 2 October, all participants of the 16th GRO will use an in-house digital payment system. Participants can purchase a digitalized payment card with a corresponding credit at the main counter of Restaurant Gustus.

All consumption is then debited from the card by the POS system. There will be no exchange of money at the tables between guests and the service team.

The cards can be purchased from Wednesday, September 29. Unused credit will be refunded at the main counter.

Reservation for Thursday evening

If you would like to dine at the restaurant later in the afternoon / early evening on 30 September, it is recommended to reserve a table early (tel. restaurant: +49-2056-599081-0), as the restaurant is also open for other golfers / guests on that day.

Please consider in your time planning that

the accreditation (in the reception hall in front of the restaurant) will take place from 17.30 – 19.30.
the welcome with numerous information about the tournament will take place in a separate room of the restaurant at 20.00.

Captains briefing

The captains briefing will take place for all interested players at the appropriate distance from the first start times, on the driving range by the tournament management. The exact time will be announced on Thursday evening.

Start mode

This year we will start on both days on both courses (SÜDplatz = south course / NORDplatz = north course) in time start mode from tee 1 and tee 10 respectively. The vast majority of participants will be playing for the first time at the GC Hösel, whose courses are quite closely interlocked. Therefore, the golf management strongly advised us against a gun start and instead recommended a time start from 2 tees per course.

More about the tournament details of the 16th GRO can be found here in the tournament t & cs.

Note for start tee 10 SÜDplatz (SOUTH course)

Participants who start from tee 10 on the SÜDPLATZ (and accordingly finish their round on green 9) should allow for a 20-minute walk from the clubhouse to tee 10 (or back from the 9th green).
Alternatively, you can drive your own car to the horse farm “Gut Gützenhof” and park there at the designated spot.

Tee 10 SÜDplatz is just a few minutes walk from the horse farm “Gut Gützenhof”. Google maps gives the travel time from the parking lot of the golf club to Gut Gützenhof with about 7 minutes.

Address for your navigation system:
Gut Gützenhof, In den Höfen 32, 40883 Ratingen, Germany
